You
can help Allen County/Fort Wayne have cleaner air!
1.
When you Drive – Avoid non-essential trips.
Drive during off peak hours. Avoid idling at drive-through
windows or when picking up passengers. Fill your fuel tank
carefully and after sundown to minimize vapors. Minimize cold
starts by combining trips. Service your car regularly and keep
tires properly inflated. Explore the possibility of alternative
fuels (ethanol, bio diesel, hybrids).
2.
Alternatives to Driving – Ride the Bus.
For
shorter trips consider riding your bicycle or walking. Other
options include: carpooling, vanpooling, working at home, electronic
messaging, teleconferencing, etc.
